The French Kitchen, a collaboration between Chef Jean-Charles Dubois, who actually heads the kitchen, and celebrity-chef Emmanuel Stroobant of Saint Pierre, serves the classics of French cuisine, with a slight twist, in a contemporary and snug ambience.
As opposed to the traditional French restaurant, the interior décor at the French Kitchen is quite modern and breezy, although it is still elegant, stylish and even somewhat romantic... The dining area is fairly small, which means you can enjoy your lovely dinner in a cozy and quiet ambiance.
The menu features a few options: Set-lunch is a good value at less than SG$ 40, as it includes favorites like Terrine of kurobuta pork cheek, with green asparagus and marinated apple, Confit de canard (duck confit), Boeuf Bourguignon and lovely desserts like Crème brulee or Champagne sabayon...
A-la-carte dinner is obviously much more expensive, but you can opt for their Degustation Menu at SG$ 88, which allows you to try most of the restaurant's specialties...
Recommended dishes include:
Pan seared cod fish fillet with artichoke purée, sautéed spinach and bouillabaisse emulsion
Roasted Anjou pigeon royale with green pea puree, glazed baby onions, and Bayonne ham
Foie Gras with ragout of cepe mushroom and salsify,
