Places You Must Visit Before You Die!

A virtual trip to the world's most beautiful places.

Our world is full of amazingly beautiful places that are just waiting to be explored: From tropical islands where you can swim in pristine turquoise lagoons, surrounded by palm fringed beaches, to spectacular snow-capped mountain ranges, and from African game parks, where wild animals still roam free, to remarkable geological formations like the Grand Canyon or Victoria Falls…

My name is Roni and I would like to take you on a virtual trip to the world's most stunning places. I'm an avid traveller who loves to travel the world and share my experiences with others through words and pictures.

As a kid, I always dreamed about traveling to faraway places and exploring every corner of the world, and then when I grew up, I spent 15 years overseas, mostly in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, where I had the opportunity to visit some of the world's most amazing national parks and marine reserves, and to actually meet some of the most fascinating creatures on earth.

I also visited many of the world's major cities and historic sites, including palaces, fortresses and old monasteries, and I write about them too, in my blogs and eBooks.

Here is just a small taste of the best places the world has to offer, and if you want more (and I'm sure you do), please subscribe to my FREE weekly newsletter. Every week we shall explore another place through videos, photos and informative articles.

So come on – let's start the trip!

1. The Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast, on the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, south of Naples, is one of Europe's, if not the world's, most beautiful stretches of coastline, with towering mountains that fall almost sheer into the amazingly blue waters of the Mediterranean, secluded bays, picturesque seaside towns and fragrantly scented citrus groves…

2. Amboseli National Park, Kenya

Amboseli National Park is located at the footsteps of Mt Kilimanjaro, and is one of the best places in the world to see elephants from neart

A herd of elephants crosses the plains of Amboseli

When you daydream about a safari trip in Africa, this is probably what you imagine… Mount Kilimanjaro rises majestically above the vast African plains and provides a truly spectacular backdrop to one of the world's best game parks, where you can see hundreds of different wild animals, including the African elephant, Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals. As a matter of fact, Amboseli is reputed for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants, and although it is not large, it is packed with animals and beautiful nature-scapes.

The islands that set the scene for some of Paul Gauguin's greatest works are a real day dreamer's paradise, boasting all the ingredients that make for the perfect holiday destination, including sweeping white beaches, lush rainforests, spiky volcanic peaks and azure lagoons.

4. Banff National Park, Canada

Banff National Park, in Canada

Set on the eastern side of the Canadian Rockies, one of earth's most extravagantly beautiful mountain ranges, Banff National Park offers its visitors a plethora of exceptionally beautiful nature scapes, including  glaciers, mirror lakes, pristine green valleys, and snowcapped mountains…

There is also wildlife in the park, including Grizzlies and black bears, Cougar, lynx, wolverine, weasels, northern river otter, wolves and, of course, herbivores  like Elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer and moose… With so much to beauty to see, it is no wonder the park has long become Canada's leading tourist attraction.

5. Seychelles

The Seychelles

The islands nation of the Seychelles boasts one hundred and fifteen coral and granite islands that are scattered over 400,000sq km of blue and turquoise Indian Ocean water, just south of the equator.

White-sand beaches, magnificent granite cliffs, unspoiled tropical jungles and amazing azure waters, with plenty of great diving spots, are the reason why the Seychelles became one of the world's most desired island getaways. What's more, this pristine paradise is mostly uninhabited, and the government only allows secluded high end resorts that do not spoil the natural beauty, which makes it a perfect hideaway for those who want to get away from it all and enjoy a slice of heaven.

6. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Popularly nicknamed the "Cidade Maravilhosa", (Marvelous City), Rio de Janeiro is, indeed, one of the world's most beautiful citys, boasting a beautiful combination of spectacular mountains, lush jungles, picturesque bays, sweeping sandy beaches and, of course, lots of lively people who like to party 24/7…

Camps Bay, one of Cape Town's well-heeled suburbs, is known for its palm tree fringed white sand beaches, as well as for its chic cafés and restaurants, where the city's who's who like to see and to be seen…

The Atlantic side of Table Mountain, which is better known as the Twelve Apostles, provides a spectacular backdrop.

8. Milford Sound, New Zealand

Milford Sound, one of the world's most spectacular fjords, provides stunning views of sheer cliffs that rise more than 1,000 metres above it, as well as misty snowcapped mountains, lush forests that look as if they are hanging in the air, and amazing waterfalls…

There are also animals to be seen here, like seals, penguins, dolphins and quite a few birds and, as surprising as it may sound, the best time to cruise the fjord is on a rainy day (and with a massive annual rainfall of 7 metres, catching a rainy day is not a problem): The heavy rains make the cliffs look like giant waterfalls and the whole experience is almost mystical…

9. Guilin, China

The amazing karst topography of Guilin has been drawing travelers for centuries, and the beauty of those sheer rocky peaks that tower above the Li River (Lí Jiāng) has been praised by numerous poets and writers, who were stunned (just like you will be) when they visited this region for the first time.

A cruise on the li river is one of the best ways to explore the beauty of Guilin, and although the town is slowly becoming one big tourist trap, it is still well worth visiting.

10. The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA Seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time is one of the most amazing experiences a person can have, and no matter how much you've heard about it, or how many photos and videos you've seen, nothing can possibly prepare you for the grandeur and majesty of what is possibly the most spectacular natural wonder on Earth.
