Question No. 14: What is the Caracal best known for?

The Caracal is one of the world's most unique wild cats

The caracal is a medium-sized wild cat that can be found in Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and India. Its most distinctive feature is the long black tufts on the back of its ears. However, caracals are best known for being excellent hunters... Their powerful hind legs allow them to leap more than three metres (10 ft) into the air to catch birds on the wing!

Did you know? The caracal is the largest of Africa's "small cats".
