Zest is a two floor restaurant and bar, specializing in contemporary western cuisine with emphasize on Mediterranean flavors. Downstairs is more casual and customers usually have their afternoon starters and drinks there, while watching Wyndham Street. Upstairs is more stylish and elegant, with beautiful table settings and soft, pleasant hues of sand dune yellow that stand in contrast to the dark brown sofas...
The ambience is pleasant and relaxed (especially upstairs), service is friendly and attentive (not bothering though) and the food is splendid, making an extensive use of fresh, quality ingredients...
Here are some of the dishes we recommend: Duck liver parfait with balsamic onion marmalade and toast, Cherry tomato Tuscan-styled bread salad with roasted peppers, white Spanish anchovies, herb oil and olives, Basil roasted aubergine salad with buffalo mozzarella and grilled Turkish flat bread, Grilled fresh tuna salad with oven dried tomatoes, baby potatoes and green beans, Spaghetti with fresh clams, chili, tomato, white wine and garlic and Chicken Stuffed with basil, chevre and pine-nuts, on soft parmesan polenta with smoked aubergine caviar...
Prices are a bit high but there is good value... Dinner is around HK$ 250-350
Open Monday - Saturday for lunch (11:30 am - 3 pm) and dinner (6 - 11 pm)
