This unpretentious eatery serves some lovely Fujianese cuisine, and specializes in the cooking style of Putian, an area in East Fujian, just south of Fuzhou.
There's nothing artistic or awe-inspiring about the décor, just an ordinary Little-India café sort of place, but the food is fabulous, rich and flavorful.
Recommended dishes include favorites like Fried Mee sua noodle, which is served in rich broth of lengthily simmered chicken and pork bones, Heng Hwa (also known as Lor mee): A noodle dish, served in a thick starchy gravy and thick flat yellow noodles, with plenty of ingredients that make it rich, Fried beehoon noodles with seafood, and Deep fried slices of Batang (Spanish mackerel).
Prices are very moderate: you will not need much more than SG$ 10
