Surprisingly (or not...) housed within Hangout @ Mt. Emily, Singapore's hippest and trendiest backpackers hotel, Wild Rocket serves delicious food that is creative and imaginative, yet not too sophisticated or pretentious, in a lovely surrounding.
Modern, stylish and chic, with contemporary clean lines, and a lovely garden. The frequently changing menu features a good choice of flavors, so everyone can find something he is going to love (and it's really easy to fall in love with the food here...). The chef-owner, a former lawyer, has a simple philosophy: "to be creative - but not insanely sophisticated, and to cook scrumptious fare that almost everybody loves to eat, using the freshest ingredients..." and quite frankly, with such a clever philosophy, how can he possibly go wrong?
A good selection of light and breezy wines complements the lovely meal and, of course, it's advisable to leave some space for the luscious desserts... Particularly for their gorgeous Dark lava chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream (or with banana flambé).

The Wild Oats Bar next door (owned by the same people), with its spacious wood-deck and lovely garden, makes an ideal location for a pre-dinner (or after-dinner) drink and a chillout.
Prices are not too high: full a-la-carte dinner is around SG$ 30 - 40
Open daily (except Monday) for lunch and dinner (Brunch - on Sunday)
