Tung Lok Seafood

Visiting Singapore ?
Guided day trips are a very nice way to explore this unique and beautiful city...

Owned by the same tremendously successful group that owns LingZhi and Noble House, Tung Lok serves fresh and delicious seafood at reasonable prices and in fairly pleasing surroundings.

The dinning room is quite pleasant and elegant but not too awe-inspiring... just an ordinary modern-Chinese restaurant style... service is quite good and food is superb...

You can either order a-la-carte (the 'house - specialties') or try one of their different a-la-carte buffet options which make pretty good value for money...

Starters include fresh Sashimi and Maki, as well as Deep-fried calamari and Crispy-fried baby squid.  Mains include their signature Chili crab (Singapore's mythological dish), "Thai style" steamed Red-tilapiaBaked prawns with spice sauce and curry leaves and  Sautéed Scallops,  as well as non-seafood choices like Roast chicken or Sautéed shredded Beef with ginger and onion.

The House specialties are not included in any of those options (no wonder) but they are what this restaurant is so famous for... The Chilled Seafood Platter is simply sensational, with an assortment of cold crab, oysters, poached prawns, Yabbies, Thai-style crabmeat salad, Ceviche, and what not...

Their Stir-fried crab with pepper and fresh peppercorn  and the  Deep fried wasabi prawns are outstandingly delicious

Prices are quite moderate: Lunch a-la-carte buffet is around SG$ 20 - 30, while dinner a-la-carte buffet is around SG$ 40
