True Blue Cuisine

Housed in a beautifully restored shophouse along Armenian Street, right next to the Peranakan Museum, this is, possibly, one of Singapore's best and most authentic Peranakan eating houses...

Lovely interior décor (with crisp white tablecloths and a private collection of vintage Peranakan artifacts), together with pleasant ambience and good, personalized service make this place a favorite among locals and visitors like... the menu is quite vast, so take your time and don't hesitate to ask them for advice...

Recommended dishes include: Ngoh Hiang ("five spice" meat or chicken roll, wrapped in thin beancurd skin), Ayam Pongteh (stewed chicken with preserved soy beans), Fried pomfret fish with spicy sambal condiment/relish,  Udang Masak Nanas (Prawns and pineapple in spicy coconut gravy) and more...

For dessert, try some Onde-Onde (sweet glutinous-rice and tapioca balls, ping pong ball size, coated with grated coconut)

Prices are quite reasonable: Around SG$ 25 - 35 for a nice meal

Open daily, except Monday, for lunch and dinner.
