This lovely "trattoria" is housed within the Singapore Art Museum, a beautiful historic building with classic architectural motifs of a Mediterranean "palazzo", that used to accommodate one of Singapore's oldest Catholic boys' schools - the former Saint Joseph's Institution.
Nice and simple interior décor brings out the Italian unpretentious warmth which this restaurant prides itself for... there's nothing like a million dollar design, but the place is very pleasant and cozy, the service is friendly and the food is belissimo (and at a relatively good price...)
Thin and crispy oven-baked pizzas and some seriously delicious pasta dishes are the main draw here, but the menu stretches far beyond pizzas and pastas... from the must-try Seafood soup to Ossobuco Alla Milanese.
Prices are quite reasonable for this type of a restaurant: around SG$ 25-40 (set-lunch is a very good value at around SG$ 25)
Open daily for lunch and dinner
