Located at a beautifully restored townhouse, just above Molly Malone's, this splendid Bistro wine-bar serves the best of French and European cuisine in an exquisite environment.
Their wine-bar is, perhaps, the right place to start with. Its beautiful interior design combines a rustic French farmhouse look and a modern style... polished light wood parquet that matches in with the bar high tables and leather stools, and heavy wood beams across the ceiling... The wine-list is very impressive, with hundreds of labels from around the world, from affordable wines to the very expensive ones (including a good choice of 'wines by the glass').
The dinning area is cozy and very pleasant, with crisp white tablecloths and spotless cutlery.
On the main menu, you will find some classic favorites like Lobster Bisque, Goat cheese salad with beetroot, mushroom and pine nuts, Salad Perigordine, Beef Bourguignon and some lovely desserts like their Hazelnut parfait and Chocolate pudding.
The evening 'Charcuterie menu' features a selection of delicious light foods (not necessarily from meat...) Chicken liver parfait with Cumberland sauce, Garlic Sausage, Platter of homemade dips, Baby Spinach salad with blue cheese, bacon and creamed vinaigrette and Rocket and pear salad with parmesan and balsamic dressing are some of the recommended delicacies.
Prices are very reasonable, when considering the class of this place: A-la-carte meal is around SG$ 50 - 70 (there are also set-lunch options) , while a light dinner (from the 'Charcuterie menu') will probably range around SG$ 30
Open daily (except Sunday) : Monday to Friday for lunch (12 noon - 3 pm) and Monday to Saturday for dinner (6 pm - 12 midnight).
