This lovely restaurant specializes in Tonkatsu : a type of Japanese schnitzel that consists of a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet. Once the cutlet is ready, it is sliced to bite sized pieces and served with cabbage salad and other side dishes. Tonkatsu is most commonly eaten with a type of thick Japanese Worcestershire sauce called Tonkatsu Sauce.
Tonkichi also serves a variety of other fried Japanese dishes, mostly seafood, and they are all extremely good. Add to this the nice ambience and the genuine service and you've got a great dinning experience.
