Located in Marine Cove, on Singapore's east-coast, this lovely restaurant specializes in the coastal cuisines of the states of Goa and Kerala, in South India.
Ambience is quite pleasant and comfortable... even cozy, and there are even some tables outside (although most of the customers dine indoors).
On the diversified menu, you will find an extensive range of coastal dishes, alongside some familiar north-Indian delicacies... You can start with a bowl of Cheemeen (spicy prawn soup) or with some crispy Pakoras (Indian fritters, coated with rich batter of chickpea-flour). Murgh Achari Tikka (chicken kebab with mango pickle and coriander), Mussels Masala (in thick coriander and onion gravy) and Lahsuni Jheenga (Tandoor-grilled garlic prawns) are also among the recommended starters.
Recommended mains include a wide variety of tandoor-grilled seafood delicacies... prawns, crabs, lobsters... you name it... other mains that are worth knowing about include Adhraki Panja (tandoor-roasted marinated lamb chops), Tandoor chicken, Mango mapas (vegetarian mango curry), Avial (vegetables cooked in coconut and curd based masala) and, above all, the splurge Malabar Seafood Platter (for 2 pax).
Prices are quite reasonable: SG$ 20 - 35 should be enough for a decent meal
