In spite of its name, soups are not the "jewel in the crown" of this popular local restaurants chain, which is better known for its delicious home-style Cantonese food, and Samsui ginger chicken in particular. This scrumptious dish consists of slices of steamed chicken (soft and succulent), served with rich and flavorful ginger sauce, and with some lettuce (with which you wrap a piece of chicken with sauce... and bite) The dish was brought to Singapore by the women of Samsui province (Canton), who used to work as construction laborers here... many years ago.
Alongside the must-try steamed chicken, there is a wide range of homey Cantonese delicacies, worth trying... many of the dishes on the menu are served in small size portions that are relatively low cost... which means you can try a few different things.
Prices are quite reasonable: a decent meal is around SG$ 25-35
