This lovely boutique hotel is housed in a cluster of beautifully restored shophouses (built in 1929), at a good location in Chinatown.
Interior design is playing a starring role in the 1929 and, as a matter of fact, there are no two identical rooms in the entire hotel... The cream of the hotel's décor is obviously the owner's impressive collection of vintage chairs which can be seen all over the place, as well as in the rooms.

The rooms are quite small, yet comfortable, tastefully designed and well equipped: LCD TV, internet connection, IDD phone, Radio with CD player, mini fridge, safe, ensuite bathroom and more...
On the roof there is a nice, big sundeck and a spa-pool which makes a great retreat after a long day of hanging around the city. The 1929 Hotel also has a very good restaurant, called Ember.
