New Year's Eve in Singapore

The year starts with the New Year's Eve celebrations.  People usually gather in areas like Marina Bay and Singapore River's Boat Quay to view the fireworks show along the waterfront and to count down to the New Year at spots along Orchard Road and Clarke Quay (where countdown parties are sometimes held).  Private parties in clubs are just as good as in any other international city.

 

Sentosa Island's Siloso Beach is the venue for what is, probably, Singapore's largest and hippest New Year's Eve party.  This huge beach-party includes some excellent music (played by first class DJs), dancing throughout the night, good entertainment, great ambience and, of course, the ultimate foam pool...
