Basil Alcove is a small and unpretentious-looking restaurant on Bencoolen Road, that made a name for itself for serving "haute cuisine" at affordable prices... The menu keeps on changing every now and again, but it mainly features familiar European favorites, with a contemporary twist.

  

La Fondue in Dempsey Hill is one of the best places in Singapore to have a Swiss style fondue dinner, although the menu features a wide range of "non Swiss" fondue sets... Ambience is very classic European, which means it makes good choice for a romantic dinner...

Friends@Jelita is a bit off the beaten tourist's path, but if you happen to hang around Holland Village, you may want to consider it... Hands down good food at sane prices...  The menu is mostly contemporary European.
