As its name denotes, the vision of this modish-elegant restaurant is to serve the best of the cuisines of the Chinese provinces along the historic Silk Road. Namely the provinces of Sichuan, Shaanxi, Liaoning and Beijing.
Unlike traditional Chinese venues, Silk Road features chic and stylish décor, with modern-clean lines, warm brownish hues, polished wood parquet and comfy sofas...
The menu presents a good selection of tastes, featuring the cuisines of the different regions... Sichuan minced meat dumpling in chili oil, Sliced pork belly in a spicy dressing of garlic chili oil and sesame oil, Deep-fried crispy eel with piquant pepper spice, Peking roasted duck and Sichuan sliced beef with rich spicy gravy.
They also serve authentic "8 treasures tea" (using 8 different herbs).
Prices are certainly reasonable for this kind of place: around SG$ 25 - 40
