Shillawon serves some excellent Korean barbecue in nice surroundings and at a relatively reasonable price.
Located at the Suntec City Mall, it boasts a fairly nice interior décor and enjoys a pleasing ambience... nothing too flamboyant... just a pleasant place with good service and very nice food.
Marinated beef ribs (Galbi) and other succulent cuts are dominating the scene, alongside some other traditional Korean fare... you can basically choose between the buffet or one of the sets (both of which make quite a good value for money).
Among the non-barbecued dishes, their Dolsot Bibimbap is fantastic: it's a popular Korean dish, consisting of a bowl of warm white rice topped with sautéed and seasoned vegetables, beef, a fried egg, and gochujang (chili pepper paste).
The dish is served in a in a very hot stone bowl that makes the food sizzle for a few minutes.
A decent variety of Banchan (Korean "tapas like" side dishes) complements the lovely food.
Prices are quite moderate: around SG$ 25 - 35 for dinner
