This almost mythological restaurant has been serving decent South Indian curries and tandoor dishes for the last fifty years or so...
Located in a restored ex-military building, within the newly popular entertainment area of Dempsey Hill, there is nothing much in the way of glitzy interior décor here, and the restaurant can sometimes be slightly crowded and bustling (as a good curry house should be) but the windows are facing the beautiful lush greenery and if you really feel like "getting close to nature", you can catch a seat at the verandah... which is literally in the garden.
The diversified menu features a wide selection of South Indian delicacies... Chicken, Turkey, Lamb, Seafood, Fish, Vegetarian and what not... there is hardly a chance you will not find something to your liking.
Signature dishes include the Masala Chicken, Fish cutlet and Fish Head Curry
Prices are fairly reasonable: around SG$ 15 - 30
