Visiting Singapore ?
Guided day trips are a very nice way to explore this unique and beautiful city...
Saint Julien serves splendid French cuisine, with a lovely view.
Located within the historical Fullerton Waterboat House, right next to the Merlion's old location and a step away from the classic Fullerton hotel, the restaurant is surrounded with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide fabulous views towards the Singapore River, Marina Bay and the city... What a shame the adjacent bridge is blocking some of those views...
The kitchen specializes in "cuisine Bourgeoise" (French for "middle-class cooking"), which in essence refers to lovely, down-to-earth cooking.
The menu presents a good selection of French classics... From favorite starters like Iranian caviar, Terrine de foie gras, Pan seared duck-liver with sauté mushroom and emulsion and Lobster bisque to Oven baked escargots with garlic and parsley, Sautéed frog legs with Dijon mustard sauce and mashed potatoes and Pan seared beef tenderloin with sautéed Lyonnaise potato and Bordelaise red wine sauce. Luscious desserts, like their signature Orange crêpes suzette, flambé with Grand Marnier and served with vanilla ice-cream or Warm chocolate and praline cake with medley of berries, or Traditional crème brulée make a "Grand Finale" for the extraordinary dinning experience.
Almost needless to mention, there is an impressive wine-list, with labels from France's different regions, as well as from other parts of the world.
Prices are quite high, but the dining experience is fantastic: Expect to pay around SG$ 100 - 150 for a full a-la-carte dinner. Set-lunch-options are far more reasonable, at around SG$ 45-60
Open from Monday to Saturday. Lunch and dinner are served from Monday to Friday. Saturday - dinner only.
