Run by an extremely talented and passionate young chef and his wife, Sage serves the classics of European cuisine, with a modern twist that takes the familiar flavors to new heights...
Located at the 2nd floor of trendy Robertson Walk, overlooking the Mediterranean styled courtyard fountain, the restaurant is intimate, cozy and nicely decked out, although it is unpretentious and the ambience is comfortable and soothing. Service is both friendly and faultless.
On the menu, you will find a choice of creative specialties that are both fresh and flavorful: Pan-seared duck foie gras with roasted Granny Smith apple mille-feuille crusted with walnuts, fig compote and spiced glaze of port wine and balsamico, Canelloni of marinated yellow fin tuna with buffalo mozzarella and olive tapenade on tomato gazpacho, avocado mousseline and crystallized lemon, Rich velouté soup of pumpkin and fois-gras, Grilled quail breast filled with hazelnut stuffing, Gratin of veal shank topped with confit of white onions and Pecorino-Romano, pommes à la boulangere and vine ripe tomato fondue and more...
Desserts are also worth knowing about... especially their heavenly Chocolate fondant.
Prices are not outrageously expensive... around SG$ 50 - 80 for a full a-la-carte dinner is not so bad for a restaurant of such class.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday for dinner only (closed on Mondays & Public Holidays)
