This small and simple looking eatery is always busy (not to say packed...) so be prepared to wait for a table, and also to share a table... it's a part of the dinning experience and a great way to get to know the locals (and to get some good tips about the food).
The place is famous for its Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings, traditionally steamed in bamboo baskets) which are said to be the best in Singapore, with the exactly right skin texture that makes it melt in your mouth and perfectly balanced filling.
Other than outstanding dumplings, the menu features a limited (but very good) variety of North Chinese specialties... Jiaozi dumplings, alongside other dumplings and steamed buns, Chinese pancakes and "Chinese pizza pie" (with seafood filling)
Prices are quite moderate: SG$ 10 - 20 should be enough for a decent meal.
Open from Thursday to Tuesday (closed on Wednesdays) for lunch (11.30am - 3pm) and dinner (5.30pm - 9.30pm)
