Paulaner Bräuhaus prides itself for being Singapore's only German microbrewery & Restaurant. Occupying a large building in Millenia Walk, the lovely resto-bar serves some delicious Bavarian and South German cuisine, alongside the renowned freshly-brewed beers from the microbrewery.
The indoor area comprises of a very large open space that makes you fill as if you are in a South-German Inn... Classic Bavarian décor, with polished parquet, metal filigree works, old pictures and heavy dark wood cabinets... The outdoor seating area is more of a 'Beer-garden' sort of place...
The menu features a long list of both Bavarian, German and Intercontinental delicacies... from delicious finger-foods to serious, no nonsense stuff.
Different types of German sausages are lunch-time favorites, and so are the German sandwiches...
Recommended a-la-carte dishes include the Grilled, juicy pork knuckle, Wiener veal schnitzel with sautéed potatoes, Nürnberger Bratwurst (grilled sausages) on a bed of sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, Slow-braised Lamb Ragout with Chorizo sausage and tomatoes and Pink-roasted boneless Venison loin with sautéed mushrooms and potato gratin.
The real draw, as already mentioned, are the freshly-brewed beers.
Prices are not too high: A-la-carte dinner will be around SG$ 40 - 50, while set-lunch can start from around SG$ 20
Open daily: The bar operates from 11:30 to 1 am (till 2 am on weekends) and the restaurant is open for lunch from Monday to Friday, and for dinner daily. On Sunday, there is a "Traditional German brunch".
