Visiting Singapore ?
Guided day trips are a very nice way to explore this unique and beautiful city...
With two restaurants, located not too far from each another, Nanbantei serves some of the best Yakitori grilled meats in Singapore... Yakitori (in case you don't know yet) is the Japanese version of Shish-kebabs or Satay : Skewers with different types of meat (mostly from chicken), grilled over special Japanese Binchō-tan white charcoal that burns at extremely high temperature for a long time (this way, the Yakitori is being prepared quickly and the meat's flavor and succulence are sealed...).
The restaurant is fairly small and cozy (even crammed...), featuring simple-contemporary décor... nothing much in the way of glitz or glitter, just a reasonably pleasant place where you can enjoy some really good food.
Recommended Yakitoris include Chicken skin, Asparagus wrapped with bacon, Bacon wrapped oysters, Chicken meat balls, Quail eggs and Chicken wing.
Prices are quite good and there are all sorts of set-menu-deals which make good value for money (Their lunch time bento-sets are a real steal, at prices that start from around SG$ 15...)
Open daily for lunch and dinner (booking is really recommended, as the small place is packed...)
