Mustard is one of only a few restaurants, specializing in the cuisine of the state of Bengal, in Northeast India. The Bengali cuisine is known for its seafood and rice based dishes, as well as for its freshwater fish delicacies. In addition to Bengalese specialties, the menu also features a wide selection of familiar Punjabi / North Indian favorites.
The relatively small restaurant is simply and pleasantly decked out, with light wood furniture and some basic Indian ornaments on the walls... ambience is fairly homey and friendly and the food is great... Starters range from Pakoras (Indian fritters, coated with rich batter of chickpea-flour) and Samosas to Calcutta Kathi Kebab Rolls (flaky rolls with a filling of chicken, Mutton, Paneer cheese and more...) and Kolkatta Shingara (crisp pastry pyramids with a stuffing of cauliflower, potatoes and peanuts).
Recommended mains include Kastoori Kabab (tandoor-grilled chunks of chicken, marinated with fenugreek, cheese and spiced with cardamom), Chingri Maacher Malai Curry (Prawns in green coconut), Maacher Paturi (Mustard fish in banana leaf), and Kolkatta Special Biryani (Aromatic Basmati rice flavoured with saffron, spices, chicken or mutton and potatoes, cooked in a sealed pot).

Prices are fairly reasonable: SG$ 20 - 30 should be more than enough
