Matsubishi Japanese Restaurant

The Hong Kong and Macau Attractions Pass can really save you a lot of money when visiting the cities' numerous attractions and sights.

After being around for thirty years, Matsubishi serves solid good Japanese fare in pleasant surroundings and at relatively sane prices...

The recently renovated restaurants boast an elegant and straightforward design, with plenty of light wood, subtle lights and some Japanese pieces of art, and although it is not exactly a romantic restaurant, the atmosphere is pleasant enough for a quiet dinner for two, as well as for a family gathering (they also have five private rooms).

Food wise, there are no surprises... Just traditional Japanese cuisine at its best, with fresh Sushi and Sashimi (ingredients are flown in regularly, to ensure freshness), and some very good teppanyaki choices, as well as other Japanese favorites.

Grilled Cod-FishOX Tongue, Prime Sliced Sirloin/Mitsuwa  and  Sliced Sirloin (rolled up with toasted garlic and spring onion) are among the most recommended disshes.

Prices are not too bad for a good Japanese restaurant: Expect to spend HK$ 250 - 400 for a nice meal (they also have sets, which are pretty good value for money)
