The uber-contemporary structure, next to the Handover Gifts Museum, is home to the Cultural centre of Macau and Macau Museum of Art.
Spanning five floors and seven galleries, this excellent museum doesn't have any permanent exhibitions, so new works of art and other exhibits are coming all the time ...
The changing exhibitions do, however, focus on Macau, its history and its art... From prehistoric artifacts and ancient ceramic figurines, to beautiful examples of Chinese calligraphy, and from colonial-style paintings to modern Macanese art and what have you...
The museum of Art is open daily (except Monday), 10 am - 7 pm. Admission fees are MOP$ 5 for adults, MOP$ 2 for students and free for kids (under 12) and elders (over 65). Entrance is free on Sundays.
To learn more about the museum, visit their website: www.artmuseum.gov.mo
You can easily walk to the museum from Macau Fisherman's Wharf (Walk out through the gate next to Babylon Casino, cross the road and you are there), or from Kun Iam Statue / the "Docas" Macau LKF)
