Nestled within Seac Pai Van Park, on the lower slopes of rocky Alto de Coloane Hill, the Macao Giant Panda Pavilion seems to be one of the territory's hottest sights nowadays, giving visitors a chance to get a good glimpse into the daily lives of one of the world's cutest and possibly most endangered animals.
The fan-shaped pavilion boasts two indoor activity quarters and an outdoor yard, as well as a colossal indoor exhibit area, where Kai Kai and Xin Xin live happily and entertain their human visitors… In order not to bother these creatures too much, only a limited number of visitors can enter at any given time, and each "session" lasts only 20 minutes or so, after which the pandas can rest a bit…
The Pavillion is open daily, except Monday (unless that Monday is a public holiday) from 10am to 5pm (admission until 4:45pm) and the viewing sessions are 10-11, 11-12, 12-1, 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5.
Admission is MOP 10 per person and the ticket is valid only for a specific viewing session of one designated hour. Moreover, since they only allow a limited number of guests at each of the sessions, it is advisable to buy the tickets in advance (You can secure your ticket first thing in the morning, continue to A-Ma Cultural Village, and visit the pavillion when you return).
