Lou Lim Leoc Garden and Macau Tea Culture House

A stone's throw walk from Tap Seac gallery lies Lou Lim Leoc Garden, a splendid little park with lovely Chinese landscaping, and although it is slightly rundown, it's still worth a visit...

Built by a well-off 19th century Chinese merchant, the garden boasts some beautiful Chinese motifs... Lotus ponds with gold fish, Chinese pavilions, bridges and winding paths...

Accommodated in a beautiful colonial house, right next to the garden, the recently opened Macau Tea Culture House (Casa Cultural de Cha de Macau) tells the story of Macau's rich tea culture through a range of exhibitions... It is quite interesting although it is slightly hard for a foreigner to understand what's the difference between the different tea types...

Open daily (except Monday), 9 am - 7 pm.  Entrance is free

How to get here: Short walk from the entrance to Guia Hill Park, where the cable-car station is.
