Le Bistrot

Traveling through Asia ?

Enjoy fantastic rates for
accommodation in SingaporeBangkok,
Bali, Hong Kong, Macau,

.

Le Bistrot really stands for its self descriptive name and is just like a piece of good-old Paris on the Island of Taipa... The very Parisian décor features high ceiling, plenty of wood, cream colored walls adorned with plenty of French pictures and paraphernalia, and the ultimate half window semi-transparent curtains which you can find in many traditional bistros throughout the "city of lights"... Subtle lights and soft French music help to create the right ambience...

The food is simply superb! Traditional French-home cooking at its best, full of flavor and body... The chef uses the best of ingredients (many of which are flown in directly from Paris) and the results speak for themselves...

Generally speaking, the menu is divided into two sections: Seafood and Countryside specialties.  Recommended starters include Carpaccio Duo of Scallops and Foie GrasGrilled Scallops in Filo Pastry Parcel served with Basil and Tomato Compote and a Creamy Truffle  and  Shallot Tarte Tatin with Goat's Cheese Grilled with Flower Honey and a Salad of Baby Spinach Leaves.

Among the main dishes, we chose to recommend the Mediterranean Bouillabaisse of Rock Fish with Croutons and Spicy Garlic Mayonnaise,  Slow Cooked Sea Bass Casserole with Truffled Veal Sauce,  Filet Mignon served with Scampi, Baby Mashed Carrots with Cumin and a Seafood Sauce,  "Tournedos Rossini" - Fillet of Beef with Pan Fried Foie Gras and Truffles  and  "Coq Au Vin" - Casserole of Chicken in Burgandy Wine Sauce with Bacon Cubes and Caramelized Baby Onions, served with Spaetzle Noodle with Leeks.

As you might expect, the desserts here are just as enchanting as the rest of the food...  Chocolate and Cointreau Truffles and Chocolate Dipped FruitsChocolate Fondant and Tulip of Vanilla Ice Cream with Custard perfumed with Fresh Mint  and  Traditional Rum Baba with a Brochette of Assorted Fresh Fruits and Homemade Cherry Ice Cream, just to name a few...

Full a-la-carte dinner starts from MOP$ 200-300 which is not too bad for this class of a restaurant
