Lau Kin Wai, a well known art critic and one of the pioneers of Hong Kong's private-kitchen scene is the living spirit behind this small restaurant, where top quality ingredients and great cooking skills are used to produce some exceptionally delicious food.
Interior décor is actually quite western, with wood parquet and light walls... maybe to emphasize the contemporary approach this restaurant takes...
The chef produces what can be described as "Homey Chinese food with a contemporary-creative twist"... Recommended dishes include their signature Smoked Chiken (needs to be ordered well in advance), Stuffed goose, Tangy Beef with Japanese Horseradish, Steamed pork ribs with Chinese olive, Sweet and Sour pork and Pan fried beef with young ginger and sliced pineapple.
Open daily for lunch and dinner
Prices are not low but are not exorbitant either, and the food is fantastic. Dinner is around HK$ 250 - 500 per person
