Hot Stones is a Clarke Quay Surf & Turf restaurant that features a unique dining concept, whereby diners roast their own meat, or seafood, on a tableside sizzling-hot stone slab, and although similar restaurants do already exist in different cities across the world, Hot Stone's nice setting and the quality of its food make it well worth visiting.
Nestled along the Singapore River, the restaurant boasts a nice alfresco sitting area, which makes it a good choice for a romantic dinner, provided you don't spoil the romanticism by overcooking the meat…
Chicken, pork, beef, lamb, fish, seafood and vegetables are all on the offer and are all very fresh and succulent, which means they taste nice even with very little seasoning… You can choose between US Black Angus Sirloin, USDA Ribeye, Australian T-bone, Wagyu beef, Kurobuta pork and their likes… As mentioned already, everything is of very high quality and comes with scrumptious side dishes which make you want a refill.
The seafood section of the menu is very promising too… From Salmon fillet and Tuna steak to King prawns and Slipper Lobster and, as expected, there are surf-and-turf combos and seafood platters for those of you who want to taste a bit of everything…
Prices are somewhat high, but the food is fabulous, the service is good and the dining experience is "different" and quite fun… Expect to pay around SG$ 50 – 75 per person, excluding wine or booze
