Traders Hotel (Formerly Jen) is Shangri-La's new acquisition and one of Hong Kong's best and most pleasant mid-range hotels.
| The guestrooms here are relatively spacious and modernly designed with clean lines and light hues of white that make them feel airy and cool… They are all equipped with air-conditioon, LCD TV with channels, Tea/Coffee kit, Free toiletries, Hair dryer, Safe, Mini-fridge, Multi-line phone, and even sleepers… |
 |
Hotel facilities include a lovely rooftop pool, overlooking the cityscape, a 24 hrs gym, and a lounge-bar where you can enjoy a cocktail, while admiring the views of Victoria Harbour.
If there is one small downside to the Traders, it is its location, in the westernmost end of Sheung Wan… But this should not bother you, cause the hotel operates free shuttle service to Central once an hour and tramway stations are just around the corner (as well as bus stops) so getting to and from the city is really a piece of cake… What's more, the hotel is surrounded by Sheung's Wan old streets, where you can find plenty of shops of any kind, as well as many authentic eateries.
| The rates for a double room start from HK$ 1,000 per room per night (low season) and although it is slightly more than what you will pay in an average low-cost hotel, it is well worth the extra expense. |
