Although Bacar is more of a wine-bar and brasserie, this lovely SoHo restaurant serves great Café fare in a cozy and pleasant ambiance. The menu can be described as "Contemporary Mediterranean", with quite a few light dishes.
Also in SoHo, "Joyce is not here" is something between a café, a bar and an art gallery... There are plenty of activities and live band nights, and the food is good and reasonably priced.
Staunton's Bar & Café, next to the escalator in SoHo, is a good place to see and to be seen... Familiar international favorites dominate the menu, with a lean towards Mediterranean...

Café Costa, in well heeled IFC Mall, is a chic resto-café that serves Casual-Mediterranean fare, with an emphasis on salads, pasta dishes, seafood and the likes... Formidable harbour views complement the lovely dining experience.
Jaspa's serves healthy helpings of scrumptious western café fare and great cakes, in a lovely and somewhat homey ambience. They have outlets in Sai Kung, as well as on Tsim sha Tsui's Mody Road and SoHo's Staunton Street.
Café O serves a decent choice of salads, fresh sandwiches, pastries and "all day breakfasts" in a fairly pleasant environment.

Café Zambra provides decent quality coffee, alongside a range of very nice sandwiches, pastries, light stuff and even some "real dishes" in a pleasant surroundings. Their outlet on Wanchai's Jaffe Road seems to be more popular
Bookworm Café is a Lamma Island icon, serving a decent choice of delicious vegetarian dishes in an easygoing ambiance. As its name suggests, there is a bookshop within the café and customers can have a read while having their meal.
Green Cottage is another Lamma Island legend. This unpretentious café serves lovely vegetarian stuff, healthy sandwiches, fresh juices and good coffees in a homey and relaxed ambiance, complemented by a nice view of the ferry pier.
Mido Café: Legendary Mido Café has hardly changed since it first opened its doors, back in the 1940s, and has long become an institution in Hong Kong's restaurants scene.
Food is simple, straightforward and reasonably priced.
