Star Ferry Pier is one of Tsim sha Tsui's best known spots and a good place to start exploring the area.
As soon as you walk out of the terminal building, you will see a red bricks and granite clock tower on your right, facing Victoria Harbour. The historic neoclassic tower was built in 1915 as part of the old Kowloon Station that used to stand here until the late 1970s, before it was relocated eastwards and replaced by the new Hung Hom Station... The tower is actually all that remained of this beautiful station.
Soaring to a height of 44 metres, the Clock Tower is one of Tsim sha Tsui's most iconic landmarks and a good place to meet friends who are not familiar with Hong Kong.
Getting here is as easy as one-two-three! You can either come with the Star Ferry (Obviously) or with the MTR (Walk down Nathan Road to the bottom, turn right to Salisbury and keep on walking until you get there).
