|
For a long time, these streets where the display window of China to the world and every visitor who passed through here on his way back to Europe, stopped by and bought whatever China has to offer, from antiques and handcrafts to dried seafood and herbal medicines... Even nowadays, many of the shops still retain their old time character and sell all sorts of exotic products...

From Morrison Street, where Western Market is, turn right to Wing Lok Street, which is also known as the Ginseng and bird's nest street (via Bonham Strand). The shops here are packed with shark's fins, birds nests, dried seafood and what have you... At the end of the street you can turn left to Des Voeux Road West, which is known as the Dried Seafood Street and left again to Ko Shing Street, which is known as the Herbal Medicine Street, from where you can take a stroll through Queen Street and Queen's Road West to Hollywood Road.
