Hong Kong Museum of Art , just a stone's throw away from the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, focuses mainly on Chinese art, both ancient and modern.
There are literally thousands of pieces of art and antiques here... From the Neolithic age, through the mighty dynasties of ancient China, to our days, including a broad spectrum of statues, carvings and artifacts made of jade, gold, gemstones, wood and what not... Exhibitions of Chinese calligraphy and painting are also well worth visiting and so are the displays of Hong Kong's modern art.
The Museum of Art is open daily (except Thursdays), 10 am - 6 pm (on Saturdays, it stays open until 8 pm).
Tickets cost HK$ 10 for an adult and HK$ 5 for a senior (on Wednesdays entrance is free).
