This is a lovely, modern and excellent Singapore hostel, with a fantastic location right in between the MRT stations of Dhoby Ghaut and Little India. The Hangout @ Mt. Emily is positioned on a small hill and enjoys some nice cityscape sceneries, as well as a lovely public garden, just next to it.
The dormitories in Hangout @ Mt. Emily are relatively spacious and every bed has a small cabinet next to it. The double rooms are also very nice and modern. Facilities include a large rooftop sundeck with great views (and a "refreshing pool" which is really the ultimate thing for a hot and humid Singaporean day...) Prices are slightly above the average but the quality justifies them.
At the time of writing, a dormitory bed costs around SG$ 40 a night on a regular day and more than that on public holidays. A double room with ensuite bathroom costs around SG$ 120 per room per night but, again, be prepared to pay more than this on public holidays and during Christmas season.
