Visiting Singapore ?
Guided day trips are a nice way to explore this unique and beautiful city

Halia means Ginger in Malay and this splendid restaurant is, indeed, located right in the Ginger Garden, within the beautiful Botanic Gardens of Singapore

Halia is one of those restaurants where ambience plays a more important role than the food itself... Not that there is anything wrong with the food... Contrarily so: The food is delicious and flavorful, with lovely fusion between the cuisines of Europe and Asia...  It's just that the luscious greenery in which the restaurant soaks can make you forget about anything else...

Beautifully decked out with high ceilings, plenty of wood and floor-to-ceiling windows... you are given the feeling of being strongly connected to the nature around you... Ambience is very pleasant, and so is the service - Works well for a romantic dinner, lunch with family and friends and what have you...

The menu presents a decent selection, so everybody can find something to his liking.  From Shrimp satay salad with pomello and ginger flower dressing  to  Char-grilled Tandoori-spiced chicken fillet on foccacia  and from Salmon steak to Chilli crab spaghetti and to Angus ribeye...

Basically, they have different menus for different times, so if you don't feel like having a full a-la-carte meal, you can still enjoy their lovely afternoon high-tea, with scones, marmalades, open sandwiches and pastries...  Their weekend brunch is also a big thing, with a great selection of both European breakfast fare, seafood delicacies and champagne.

Quite expectedly, prices are not particularly low, but are adequate for such a treat (and there are set-menu options that make good value for money)

Open daily, 11 am - 11 pm (on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays - from 9am). English high-tea is served daily, between 3 and 5 pm.  Brunch is served on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, between 9 am and 3:30 pm
