The relatively new Grand Waldo is a 5-star hotel that provides superb accommodation at a pleasantly surprising price.
Located in Cotai, south of Taipa Island, the hotel is fairly close to the casino strip, but quite far from everywhere else (which is, probably, its main disadvantage...)

The rooms are beautifully designed in soft beige and dark wood colors and are all well equipped with the whole range of amenities, like: individually-controlled air-con, channels TV, mini-bar, IDD phone, ensuite bathroom and the likes...

The hotel facilities are simply fantastic: The Grand Waldo spa is, possibly, one of Macau's best spas. Otherwise, the hotel has a lovely outdoor swimming pool, an excellent gym, first-class sauna, good restaurants, well equipped nightclub and a large, posh casino...

If you don't mind the location and the fact that there are hardly any English speakers among the staff (even though they are friendly and eager to help), than it is a very good value for money.
The rate for a double room with ensuite bath can start at as low as HK$ 700-800 per room per night.
