Glory Catering

This extremely popular venue combines a fantastic eatery and a take-away shop where you can buy a wide range of both Malay and Nonya (Peranakan) delicacies.

As expected, the dinning area is not the kind of place where you'll take your girlfriend to on Valentine's Day, but it's pleasant and clean and the food is great (with very diversified menu).

Excellent variety of authentic Nasi Padang dishes (from west Sumatra, Indonesia), lovely Nonya style Popiah (a thin paper-like crepe, filled with stewed turnip, Chinese sausage, shrimps, lettuce and what not...) and a good range of freshly baked pastries and tarts.

Prices are very reasonable.

Daily, 8:30 am - 8:30 pm (closed on Monday, unless it falls on a public holiday).

139 East Coast Rd. (next to the corner of Joo Chiat, a few steps from the petrol station)
