Air Macau and Low budget airlines

Air Macau is Macau's flag carrier and connects the territory with quite a few cities in China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand and the Philippines.  They do have special offers, on a regular base, so it's a good idea to browse their website and compare their offers with those of other operators. For more information and bookings : http://en.airmacau.com.mo

Viva Macau is another Macau based carrier that offers low-cost scheduale flights to some Asia-Pacific destination, like: Tokyo, Jakarta, Ho chi mihn, Sydney, Pusan (Korea), Phuket (Thailand) and the Maldives.  They also have some good holiday packages. As at the beginning of 2010, Viva Macau is about to be eliminated - click here for more details.

East Asia Airlines and Heli Express jointly operate the Helicopter service between Macau, Hong Kong and Shenzhen (on the Chinese side of the Hong Kong - China border).

Flight time between Macau and Hong Kong or Macau and shenzhen is only 16 minutes each way, but the fares are very expensive (around MOP$ 1,900 - one way). For more information and bookings : www.helihongkong.com

Hong Kong's online travel agencies are another good option, when you look for discounted flights. Here are links to two of them:

Aerohkg - www.aerohkg.com

Zuji - www.zuji.com.hk

Those agencies normally make use of free seats on intercontinental flights that stop in several Far-East destinations.  For example: Finnair stops at Bangkok on its way from Hong Kong to Helsinki and vice versa. There are, therefore, some vacant seats on the Hong Kong - Bangkok section of the flight and those are sold at a discounted rate by the online travel agencies.  Those special deals are also available through physical travel bureaus... just hang around town and keep your eyes open...
