Recently relocated to Shenton Way, this small and lovely café is oddly named Fren(s)h to symbolize the combination between the light French-style fare that it serves and the fresh ingredients it uses...
Nothing too fancy in the way of décor... just a nice, tiny café where most of the customers seat along the counter (there are a few tables, but seating next to them will probably make you feel crammed).
The place is actually owned and run by French and the menu, naturally, features some authentic French café fare... Tartines (open sandwiches) are dominating the scene, and there is a great variety of luscious toppings you can choose from... from Avocado and chicken to smoked salmon and Foie gras... everything is nice.
Other than the lovely Tartines, they also serve nice salads, quiches and the likes.
Their Crème Brulee is simply superb and much recommended. Tiramissu is also quite good.
Prices are very moderate: SG$ 10 - 20 will get you a very nice meal
