The founder of this splendid restaurant is a well seasoned chef who decided, after working for many years in high-end Cantonese restaurants, to open a place of his own that will serve haute Cantonese cuisine at a relatively reasonable price...

As its name hints, Emperor's Soup serves a wide choice of Cantonese soups... and the very best of them, alongside a variety of good-old Cantonese and Chinese favorites... Yusheng (Chinese raw fish salad), Oyster with Abalone and Fai Cai, Scallop with asparagus, Sweet and sour pork and Deep fried eggplant with minced pork... just to name a few.

Prices are slightly high, compared to the average Joo Chiat restaurant, but lower than the fancy hotel-restaurants in the city centre, with which this place competes.
