Earshot Café

Earshot is, without exaggeration, one of the nicest coffeeshops around the area of the mouth of the Singapore River... an easygoing place where you can browse through books and music, relax on one of the comfortable armchairs and enjoy some delicious café fare at a reasonable price and in a lovely environment.  There are even some occasional live shows of those young Singaporean artists, promoted by the Arts House.

The Arts House, home of the café , is located in what was Singapore's Old Parliament House. This historic Neo-Palladian building, Singapore's oldest surviving government building, was completed in 1827 and served as Singapore's first Court House.  It became the seat of the Singaporean parliament in 1965, soon after the country got its independence.  In 1999 the parliament moved to its new location (just around the corner from this one) and in 2004 the beautiful building became the home of the Arts House, where you can enjoy music performances and Art exhibitions.

The all-day-menu features a good selection of delicious light fare, alongside coffees, teas, juices and the likes...

Prices are quite reasonable
