Nestled within Valley Point, overlooking the less touristy part of the Singapore River, this trendy restaurant serves some of the best contemporary Japanese cuisine you can expect to find in Singapore, in a pleasant and tranquil ambience.
Contemporary décor, with clean lines, wood flooring and large windows through which you can see the palm trees along the Singapore River… Not too snooty, yet very comfortable and with sufficient space between tables.
European-influenced Japanese dishes are the main thing here and Dozo's set-menu allows diners to taste a decent variety of them… From the chef's selection platter, to creative culinary creations like Gratinated Escargots with Yuzu Butter, Foie Gras Chawanmushi topped with Black Truffle Slice, Cappuccino style Crab Bisque, Beef Tenderloin on Granite Hot Stone, Kurubuta Pork Cheek with Onion Jam, and lip smacking desserts, such as their freshly baked Warm Chocolate soufflé, or French Cream Cheese Cake… Food in Dozo is not only superb in terms of taste, but also very artistically presented.
Prices are slightly high, but not outrageously, and the dining experience more than justifies them.
