Delhi restaurant has long become a Little India institution, serving lovely North Indian fare in a nice environment and at very reasonable prices...
The interior décor is not too pretentious or sophisticated, but the place is pleasantly decked out and the ambience is nice... The food (which is the most important thing in a restaurant, after all...) is delicious and the servings are generous...
Recommended dishes include Aloo Gobi ("dry curry" of potatoes and cauliflower), Manchurian Gobi (cauliflower in a mix of tangy spices), Mutton Briyani, Mixed grill sizzler, Mutton Rogan Josh (aromatic mutton curry), Delhi butter chicken (one of the restaurant's favorite dishes), Fish in banana leaf, Prawns masala and, of course, their scrumptious Naans, which are among the best in Singapore.
Prices are fairly moderate: around SG$ 20 - 30 for a hearty meal.
The outlet on 60 Racecourse Road is open daily for lunch and dinner, and so does their other outlet, in Broadway Hotel (195 Serangoon Road, Little India). Phone: 6296 4585
