The younger sister of Dap Modern European Cuisine in Tsim sha Tsui serves superb food that can be described as a modern fusion between Japanese and European cuisines...
Located on Wanchai's Queen's Road East, the restaurant really stands for its name as a "wine and dine spot", with a lounge-bar downstairs and a proper dining venue upstairs.
Ambience is pleasant and elegant, although not too formal or snooty... Interior décor is classic-contemporary, with light wood flooring, crisp white tablecloths and a mix of white and velvet-red sofas... Makes a fairly nice set up for a quiet dinner...
The kitchen makes use of fresh ingredients to produce some innovative creations... In the Pasta section you can find Macaroni with sea urchin, prawn paste and chillies, Mentaiko and asparagus risotto with nameko and lemon-cheese oil, and Fettuccine with river-prawns, roasted capsicum, spinach and shiso pesto, while recommended mains include Seared fillet of salmon with wasabi mash and Sakura shrimps, Australian veal loin with braised radish, porcini mushroom and black truffle sauce, and Japanese-style bouillabaisse.
They offer both a-la-carte and set meals, which are quite a good value, especially during lunch...
Expectedly, prices are slightly high... A decent a-la-carte meal will probably be around HK$ 400 - 500, but, as already mentioned, you can opt for the set meals which are very good bang for the buck (only HK$ 100 for a 3-course lunch and HK$ 270 for set dinner)
Open daily for lunch and dinner (Brunch is served on weekends and public holidays
