Observing Lan Kwai Fong from the 7th floor of LKF Tower, Dakota Prime is undoubtedly one of Hong Kong's best seafood and steak restaurants.
Dominated by bright shades of beige, cream and white, with light oak flooring and plenty of natural light, the restaurant's modern and chic décor is very far from the classic dark-wood steakhouse and, indeed, this world class restaurant takes seafood and beef steaks to completely new heights, using the "crème de la crème" of USDA Super Prime, Meyer's natural angus and Japanese Wagyu beef, as well as the best and freshest seafood, that is flown in five times a week...
Signature starters include the Kobe Beef Tataki (that are seared very rare, and served with Scallion Pancake & Sesame Ponzu), USDA Prime Filet Carpaccio, and Seared Crisp Alain Francois Foie Gras, while recommended mains include the famous char-grilled steaks and the seafood bar creations (such as their popular "Chilled Seafood Mountain").
Quite expectedly, Dakota Prime boasts a multi million dollar wine cellar, where you can find a wide range of labels to suit every taste and budget... From reasonably priced wines-by-the-glass to outrageously expensive bottles.
Prices at Dakota Prime are high, period. But the quality of the food and the dining experience are absolutely superb, and besides, if you order wisely or, more importantly, if you come during lunch, you can still enjoy a fantastic meal without having to mortgage your house.
A-la-carte dinner can easily get to HK$ 1,000 per person, if you opt for one of the more expensive steaks, while set lunch is a real steal, at only HK$ 200
Open daily (except Sunday) for lunch and dinner.
