This humble eatery has been serving some of the most authentic breakfasts in Singapore for the last god knows how many years, so if you want a true Kopitiam (local coffeeshop) experience, pay them a visit when you are in Katong.
The vintage décor has probably not changed much since the 1940s or so... Decorated floor tiles, marble topped tables and old-style chairs, all contribute their share to the lovely ambience of this charming place.
Obviously, it's not the kind of place where you can expect haut cuisine... Fresh toasts with homemade Kaya (kind of custard jam made from coconut milk, egg yolks and sugar, flavored with pandan) are the cafés favorites, alongside other pastries and light coffeeshop fare.
